For instance, let’s say you wanted to measure the fastest animals on the planet. You could use any yardage that was shortest for the longest animals and determine how many yards they traveled per second. Now, if your definition of the fastest animal was one with six feet per second, then we would expect the velociraptors to be in the top ten.

The next thing you need to know is what constitutes the word “mph.” There are two different ways that a speed can be measured, and these are the maximum and minimum speeds. The maximum speed is when an animal is jogging at a constant speed without an increase in acceleration or deceleration.
